QwikBus started as the software we built to run our own bus operations. It worked so well that we spun it off as a standalone product in 2018 — now used by 100+ operators across India.
How QwikBus started
We built the initial version of QwikBus for our own bus operations. Running buses in India meant wrestling with the same problems every operator knows — empty seats on long routes, pricing that never caught peak demand, OTA listings scattered across half a dozen portals, and counter staff stuck in spreadsheets. The off-the-shelf software we tried did not fit how Indian operators actually work, so we built our own.
The performance exceeded our expectations. Occupancy climbed, revenue per trip went up, and the team that was drowning in manual work had time to focus on passengers again. Neighbouring operators started asking if they could use the same system, and by 2018 the demand was big enough to spin QwikBus off as a standalone product — with one clear mission: give every Indian bus operator access to the same technology large fleets use, at a price small and medium operators can afford.
Since then, 100+ operators have come on board, from 5-bus businesses putting their first seats online to 100+ bus fleets running complex multi-route networks across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and beyond. The product is still shaped by the same question we started with: what would actually help a bus operator earn more and run smoother tomorrow morning?

Every feature decision starts with: does this help a real bus operator earn more, save time, or reduce confusion? If not, we don't build it.
Simple above all
Bus operators are busy running fleets, not learning software. If counter staff can't figure it out in 10 seconds, we redesign it.
India-specific
GST reports, multi-stop routes, seat sharing for Indian route patterns, rupee pricing, regional OTA integrations — we build for India because that's where our operators are.
